Enhance the Health and Wellness of Your Family Through Yoga

Workshop: Yoga for a Healthy Back                     On-Going Class Schedule
March 9, 1-3pm

We believe that yoga is for everyone.  In our classes, all students learn how to practice yoga safely and correctly, while being challenged according to their own ability.  Students are also guided to learn how practicing yoga can lead them towards making conscious and educated choices about their health and lifestyle. We aim to instill a reverence for the practice of yoga as a way to embody the richness of life.

Our classes are taught by experienced, knowledgeable, and highly qualified instructors who continue to deepen their practice through their on going study of yoga.  We believe that consistent practice is the secret of success in yoga

”Health is awareness, not physical fitness, which flows like a river in every part of the body.” - B.K.S. Iyengar

There is only one “Yoga”,  but there are numerous ways of practicing. Our teachers are studying and/or certified in Iyengar Yoga.   Certified Iyengar Yoga teachers guide their students in a sequential, intelligent and safe practice.  Poses are taught with precision and alignment so that harmony and well-being permeate throughout one's practice.   All students receive guidance and feedback on their practice to help them progress.   You do not need to be young, flexible or in shape to practice yoga.   Iyengar Teachers guide you from where you are and can help those with limiting physical conditions.   Iyengar Teachers must study Iyengar Yoga for at least 3 years and then pass two rigorous examinations that include knowledge of asana, pranayama, philosophy and anatomy before being certified.   Teachers are required to continue on in their studies to remain certified and may choose to work toward more advanced levels of certification.  (Visit the IYNAUS website for more information)
